Every site has to
have some links, right? There are many more astronomy sites out there than I
could ever hope to link to, and I'll probably add more from time to time, but
here are some to get you started --
Astronomy -- Online site
of Astronomy magazine, has lots of articles, star charts and
more
Cloudy Nights -- Telescope and accessory
reviews, and some of the best user forums to be found (I could be biased, I'm
one of the moderators on these forums... )
Sky and Telescope --
Online site of Sky & Telescope magazine, has lots of articles, stuff to
buy, star charts and more
There are also some wonderful websites
out there maintained by amateur astronomers who have great talent (both in
astronomy and website design!) that you should visit. A few of my favorites
--
Cosmic Voyage -- Site
of Bill Ferris, filled with tons of useful information
Stargazer Online -- Observing reports
and other great information from Richard Bell
Visual Deep Sky Observing --
Maintained by Faith Jordan, my friend from the UK who is a smashing observer
and sketcher
